Refresh yourself with the ancient art of Tai Chi as taught in the Wudang Mountains of China!
Tai Chi is a slow-moving martial art practised primarily for health. It uses qi (internal energy) to power movements rather than muscular strength, as such it can be practised by people of all ages. In this session we will look at solo movements that relieve tension and build focus, as well as gentle partnerwork exercises that take a light-hearted look at Tai Chi's martial side
Lucia has been training Tai Chi and Qi Gong for 17 years including two years full-time study in China's Wudang Mountains. She has learnt the Chinese language to communicate with her teacher, who is a Taoist monk called Yuan Li Min. Lucia set up the first Wudang Tai Chi and Qi Gong school in London 8 years ago and is an ambassador for the Wudang style in the UK.
