Calling all budding artists! We are looking for help from local residents to bring the story of Grandad’s Island to life as part of Grandad’s Island: from Page to Pavement, transforming ideas from the pages of this beautiful picture book to the pavements of Waltham Forest.
Artillery will be creating a story map and listings of all the activities, exhibitions and performances taking place from 4 - 13 October. All of the commissions from across the project will then take part in an installation event in Langthorne Park on Sunday 13 October, where residents and artists from across the borough will come together to celebrate the work they’ve created.
Next week is also your last chance to get involved in Carnivalista Culture. Join in these fantastic carnival costume workshops daily at Leyton Green and next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at The Junction Centre in Leytonstone.
