Chingfest returns to Ridgeway Park on 31 August from 1-9pm, and it’s bound to be one to remember!

The main stage will play host to superstar NAO as the headliner, however talent continues throughout the site with a huge amount of music, workshops and talks on offer.

We’re taking some time in the coming weeks to look at each stage, and highlight all the artists and performers taking part in this unmissable music festival.

This week, we’re taking a look at artists playing the DJ Dome Stage. Scroll to discover!

Lord of the Mics
Lord Of The Mics is a brand that’s synonymous with Grime. Born before the genre even had a name, the brainchild of Jahmek ‘Jammer' Power and Chad ‘Ratty’ Stennett, Lord Of The Mics provides a platform that seeks to elevate underground UK street culture and the artists within it.

Beginning as a DVD box set that saw established MCs stepping up to clash - think of a lyrical boxing match and you’re close - it’s now etched in Grime history.

From Wiley going to head-to-head with the then relatively unknown Kano in the basement of Jammer’s family home, to scene stalwarts including Skepta, Frisco, Tinchy Stryder & P Money stepping up to the challenge over the last 15 years, Lord Of The Mics is renowned for delivering the ultimate wars of words. Check out their YouTube channel for a taste of what's to come!

Reeps One
London born Artist Harry Yeff (AKA Reeps One) produces work spanning disciplines, contexts and media as a response to an on going investigation into vocal music, art and science. His work explores the fusion of visual and audio cultures, transforming vocal music into visible, physical form through performance, installation, sculpture, photography and film as well as curatorial, directorial and academic projects. Yeff’s expertise in vocal musicianship and performance has generated an online global following, rendering over 100 million views and recognition as a pioneer of experimental vocalism.

Yeff’s desire to visualise vocal music inspired him to experiment with audio-visual work and physical phenomena from an early age. He fuses vocal performance with mediums including cymatics, voice-reactive projection mapping and VR. Cymatics, the use of vibration as a medium to move, organise and control matter, constitutes a prominent focus in Yeff’s work; the performances and photographic prints have gained him two consecutive ARS PRIX nominations.
